Reviews for Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad might not be the best but it looks like Warner Bros. want’s to milk DC for all of it’s worth.
Harley Quinn, Aquaman, The Flash, Wonder Woman and more are getting their own movies, while Warner Bros. hums along with a solo Batman spin-off starring Ben Affleck (and directed by Affleck as well), Superman will also be getting his own post-Batman v Superman solo film. It has been confirmed that Henry Cavill will be starring in a Man of Steel sequel.
In a statement to Newsweek Henry Cavill’s manager Dany Garcia, Cavill is “in development” for a standalone Superman movie.
“Henry has a big appetite. We’ve been in a five-month period of time where he’s re-strategizing, acquiring property [for his production company Promethean], he’s filming [Justice League] now, he’s in development for the Superman standalone… he’s beginning to expand that world.”
Man of Steel, produced by Christopher Nolan and directed by Zack Snyder, earned $668 million at the box office – around $200 million short of Batman v Superman.
